Kazakh Senator took part in World Turkic Forum
140 delegates of 60 world countries took part in the event where issues relating culture, diplomatic activity and tourism were considered.
Senator S. Yessengenov told about historical roots of the Turkic peoples, stressing that due to centuries of accumulated experience, created a rich common cultural heritage.
"Intercultural dialogue is an important policy tool in establishing mutual trust between communities and building a common future," the MP said.
During the forum, delegates expressed the view that the event will strengthen cultural and tourism ties between the Turkic republics.
A number of cultural events was held as part of the forum. Besides, TURKSOY was awarded Kizil Elma prize for the contribution to the development of culture of the Turkic world. The program also included an exhibition, concerts.
At the end of the forum the delegates adopted the declaration.
Following the World Turkic Forum the declaration was signed.
