Drafts of Criminal Procedure Code, Penal Code and Criminal Code discussed in Astana

New projects of Criminal Procedure, the Penal Code and the Criminal Code of the Republic Kazakhstan, were discussed in the Kazakh Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Ministry was took an active part in their development.
The Codes contain a number of new law aimed at the criminal process modernization, simplifying and improving the judicial instruments to protect the constitutional rights of parties, the introduction of new types of penalties, alternatives to incarceration, according to the authority.
The new codes will lead to serious change of criminal proceedings, procedural functions investigator, operatives as well.
The invited guests noted that it is important to minimize the formal procedures, bureaucracy, to ensure prompt and fair resolution of claims and complaints.
