Statistics Agency: Highest level of fertility - in Mangystau rgn

In Kazakhstan Civil Registration Office registered 387,227 births, including in urban areas - 209,004 people, in the rural area - 178,223 people in 2013.
Number of male births amounted to 199,880 people (51.6%), female - 187 347 people (48.4%). The sex ratio was 106.7 male for every 100 females, the Statistics Agency reports.
The total fertility rate per 1 000 population in 2013 amounted to 22.73 births, and compared with 2003 increased by 6.1 per mile (16.63).
Among the regions of Kazakhstan the highest birth rate per 1 000 population is registered in Mangystau - 31.71, South Kazakhstan - 29.59, Atyrau regions- 28.60. The lowest level is in the North Kazakhstan - 14.82, Kostanay - 14.79 and East Kazakhstan - 16.43.
In 2013 the average age of mother at birth was 27.6 years and increased by 0.3 years (27.3 years) in comparison with 2003.
