National coalition of democratic forces on EAEU establishment
"Presently, Kazakhstan together with Russia and Belarus is on the threshold of creating the Eurasian Economic Union. Back in 1994, Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed the idea of Eurasian integration association. Three evolutionary stages from the integration of the Eurasian Economic Community and the Customs Union to the Common Economic Space have been passed within 20 years. The forthcoming signing of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union is a sharp evidence of the success of the course on the integration and unification of efforts of the three countries to strengthen national economies, as well as the welfare of ordinary citizens," the statement reads.
The President of our country, identifying the main vectors of the state in the long term, suggested a specific National Action Plan - Strategy "Kazakhstan - 2050". During the years of independence Kazakhstan from country with low starting opportunities has become a strong country with the second largest economy in the post-Soviet space. Thus, the country attracted 160 billion U.S dollars, or about 70% of all foreign investments in the Central Asian region. GDP per capita increased from 600 to 14 thousand dollars, foreign exchange reserves reached 100 billion U.S. dollars. Kazakhstan's economy and the total volume of the economies of all the countries of Central Asia increased twice.
The economic integration with Russia and Belarus founded on the principles of voluntariness, equality, pragmatism and consensus creates a huge potential for further growth of our economy.
"We, the representatives of political parties and leading public organizations - members of the National coalition of democratic forces, fully support the creation of the Eurasian Economic Union,” according to the statement.
