Nazarbayev University and Astana Sports Club signed cooperation memo (PHOTOS)
Vice-President for Student Affairs and International Cooperation of the Nazarbayev University Kadish Dairova and acting chief of the Astana Presidential Sports Club Yuri Melnichenko have signed the memorandum.
“In order to be successful in academic field the students should have sound mind and sound body. The sport exactly could contribute this. We have to discuss joint actions that will awake the interest in sports in our students,” K. Dairova stated.
Astana Presidential Sports Club (PSC) and Autonomous Education Organization "Nazarbayev University" declared readiness to create a fan club, which will unite the students of the University and other universities of Astana, as well as to coordinate the support of clubs and Astana PSC.
“Leader of the Nation Nursultan Nazarbayev united the two brands. Intellectual and athlete- is the perfect example of a leader who combines both a healthy body and a high level of intelligence. We would like to see the memorandum was the basis that we have developed extensive cooperation for the benefit of a healthy lifestyle,” Yuri Melnichenko said.
The sides intend to cooperate on development of a vision, mission and anthem clubs, provide creative support in the formation and moderation of web pages, organizing and conducting group PR-actions, flash mobs, dance and song, various competitions, as well as on the conduct of friendly games between teams of students and city teams Astana club.
