Integration within CU to contribute SME growth – B. Seisenov

“Integration processes within the Customs Union will contribute to the further development and increasing the share of small and medium-sized businesses,” expert of Secretary of Committee of Agro-industrial sector of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan Bolat Seisenov announced during the CCS media briefing.

“Following the outcomes of 2013 the SME share in GDP amounted just 17,3 per cent. We believe that integration processes within the Customs Union will contribute to the further development and increasing the share of small and medium-sized businesses, " B. Seisenov said.

Thus, in frames of the creation of a unified customs regulations, there is a number of agreements to promote cooperation in the framework of the Customs Union.

In particular procedure for drawing up of veterinary prescriptions for CU member states is simplified.

In addition, a single register of organizations engaged in the production, processing and storage of controlled veterinary service transported goods into the territory of one of the CU has been already established.

“Besides, a single, simplified procedure of veterinary inspection at the customs border is established” B. Seisenov noted.

Also, according to him, procedure for business interaction relating the registration of veterinary drugs that is used for the prevention and treatment of farm animals was simplified.
