Atyrau hosts international conference “Development of the Caspian shelf
The further development of the Caspian shelf has been discussed at an international conference in Atyrau. The world's leading experts in the field of oil production have taken part in the conference. Today, the region is the second largest in the world with the presence of unused oil and gas reserves. The next step is the development of new promising fields .
“Previously explored deposits are for the most part in the operation. We have not any prospective of growth of new structures of reserve. In this regard, the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies is currently working and preparing amendments to the legislation that will make investment in exploration more attractive,” CEO of the Association of Oil-Gas and Energy Sector Asset Magauov said.
An indispensable condition for the commencement of operations on the continental shelf for companies should be having modern equipment and technologies at their disposal. According to specialists, oil production will not affect the ecological situation in the region.
