Bolashak scholarship’s further improvement considered in Akorda

A meeting of the Republican Commission for personnel training abroad under the chairmanship of the Acting Secretary of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov was held in Akorda today, the President’s press office informed.

The agenda of the meeting included issues of further improvement of “Bolashak" international scholarship initiated by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Since 2014, the threshold level of foreign language skills to get master program degree and interning performing IELTS was increased from 3.0 to 4.0 points of 9.0 points, while in residency and doctorate - up 5.0 points.

Besides, level of state language knowledge is increased for all candidates. KAZTEST minimum level is equal 85 of q150 points.

Moreover, the list of the leading foreign universities recommended for training and language training courses was revised. 17 universities were added to the list and 8 - deleted.

Training will be done on the basis of leading foreign universities and medical institutions as well as internationally and regionally recognized research centers, companies and industry organizations.
