"The 2013 plan on the state program’s teacher qualification indicator has already been exceeded. Now, advanced training on the new 3-month system developed by the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools and Cambridge University assumes key significance. For two years about eight thousand teachers passed through the new system, and they have already received significant increments," Zhumagulov said.

It was noted that the next step in improving the quality of teacher training would be the introduction of per capita financing.

Thus, the minister said "this mechanism will not only equalize the training costs for the regions, but also give a new tool for teacher incentive."

In this connection, the Ministry is preparing a completely new proposal for a differentiated salary increase for teachers.
