“KazSat-3” satellite to be launched from Baikonur till end of April

"KazSat-3" satellite launch is scheduled till the end of April from Baikonur launch space,” Chairman of the National Space Agency of Kazakhstan Talgat Mussabayev informed during the enlarged meeting of the board of the Agency on results of 2013 and tasks for the current year.

"As part of a KazSat space system and broadcasting, three projects are realized: KazSat-2 KazSat-3 space vehicles and ground complex creation. Currently, KazSat-2 operation in normal mode, its load is equal 63%. 11 carrier operators of Kazakhstan provided services in leasing satellite capacity in the amount to more than 2 billion tenge,” Talgat Mussabayev said.

According to the Agency’s Chairman, creation work are carried out within agreement signed with leading JSC Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems.”
