The participants of the event discussed issues of supporting domestic producers, containing prices for socially important food products and tariffs, appointment of targeted social assistance, providing large families with housing, as well as preparing for the heating season and the new school year.

The Head of State noted the crucial importance of developing new approaches to the development of Kazakhstan’s economy with a view to giving it a serious impetus, stressing that this would require coordinated efforts of the Government, the Presidential Administration and the expert community.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pointed out that in addition to promptly solving everyday issues, it is necessary to determine the prospects for the medium-term development of the economy, taking into account unfavorable trends in international markets.

In conclusion, the President emphasized that it is necessary to put the interests of citizens of Kazakhstan at the forefront in order to prevent a decline in their standard of living and fully fulfill social obligations to the population.
