More than 55K apartments built in Kazakhstan for 7 months

A total of 55,849 housing units were commissioned in the country (including 24,013 one-family houses). The increase in housing commissioning compared to last year continues in 7 regions. Leaders in housing commissioning are Turkestan (130.9%), Kyzylorda (128.7%), Kostanay (118.6%) regions. The slowdown in housing commissioning is in Mangistau region (87.7%) and in the city of Nur-Sultan (64.1%).

The physical volume index for construction in January - July 2019 amounted to 111.5%. Positive dynamics are observed in 8 regions. Leaders are Kyzylorda (275.5%), Karaganda (193.6%), Atyrau (129%) regions.

The indicator decrease is noted in 3 regions: Mangistau (-30.4%) region and in the cities of Nur-Sultan (-12.5%) and Shymkent (-34.4%).

Industrial output grows in Kazakhstan

According to the results of 7 months of 2019, the industrial output has amounted to 102.7%, including mining 102.4%, processing 103.2%.

In mining sector, the volume of non-ferrous ore production increased by 17.2%, due to the enterprises commissioned in 2018: Bakyrchik mining enterprise, Saryarka Resource Capital and stable operation of existing enterprises: Kazzinc (+6%), Kazchrome (+6.8%), Kazminerals (+20.8%). Since the beginning of the year, there has been a positive trend in iron ore production. The volumes have increased from 92.8% to 101.5% since March this year due to the growth of exports of concentrate and pellets to Russia (+15%) and China (+15%). The volume of coal and lignite production amounted to 97.3%. At the same time, there is a positive trend in coal exports, the increase amounted to 101.9% or 15.8 million tons.

In manufacturing, the growth amounted to 3.2%.

In non-ferrous metallurgy, production increased by 8.1% due to an increase in production by:

- Kazzinc LLP - zinc by 2% (from 182.61 thousand tons to 186.22 thousand tons);

- Kazakhmys Corporation LLP - copper by 12% (from 127 thousand tons to 142.01 thousand tons), copper wire by 18% (from 3.26 thousand tons to 3.86 thousand tons);

- Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant JSC - primary aluminum by 1.8% (from 149.73 thousand tons to 152.39 thousand tons);

- Tau-Ken Altyn LLP - 22% gold (from 12.383 thousand tons to 15.163 thousand tons).

In ferrous metallurgy, production amounted to 94%. Since the beginning of this year, production volumes in the industry have been increasing (January - 69%, February - 74.5%, March - 85.8%, April - 88.9%, May - 90.9%, June - 92.8%, July - 94%). In turn, the dynamics at ArcelorMittall show an increase in production from 48% in January to 82% in July, where the daily rate of steel production reached 11.3 thousand tons. The expected volumes by the end of the year are about 4 million tons of steel.

In machine-building industry, production increased by 17.7% due to an increase in volumes:

- vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 50.6% (AZIA AVTO JSC, SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP, SemAZ LLP, Daewoo Bus LLP);

- machines and equipment not included in other categories by 14.5% (Kazakhstan Agro Innovation Corporation LLP, Agromashholding JSC, DonMar LLP, etc.);

- other vehicles by 35.7%;

- repair and installation of machinery and equipment by 11.8%.

In pharmaceutical industry, production increased by 18% due to increased production:

- Chimpharm JSC by 50% (45% share of industry);

- Nobel AFF JSC by 13.8% (10% share of industry).

In light industry, production increased by 14.3% due to an increase in the production of textiles by 18.3%, clothing by 5.4%.

Currently, a number of regulatory acts and systemic measures for the development of the industry are being taken as part of the “economics of simple things” program.
