Kazakh First President’s Library, Heydar Aliyev Center expand coop
The memorandum is meant to promote the ideas and initiatives of First President of Kazakhstan – Yelbasy (the Leader of the Nation) Nursultan Nazarbayev and Azerbaijanian statesman, politician, President of Azerbaijan between 1993-2003 Heydar Aliyev as well as cooperation in youth policy, joint cultural, educational and research and scientific projects on the history, formation, development of the two states and bilateral relations.
Signatories to the memorandum include Director of the Library of the First President of Kazakhstan – Yelbasy, Doctor of Political Science, Prof Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov and Director of the Heydar Aliyev Center, Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Fund, Aide to the First Vice President of Azerbaijan Anar Alakbarov.
“Our Centers already have a history. Last June the Heydar Aliyev Center hosted the presentation of the book by head of Yelbasy’s Office, the First President’s close associate Makhmud Kassymbekov called “Nursultan Nazarbayev. The Biography” in Azerbaijanian. Today, the cooperation memorandum establishing areas of our future cooperation has been signed. It is primarily about promoting creative ideas of our nations’ leaders, works and their lives for the sake of development and prosperity of the fraternal peoples of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan”, Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov stated.
He went on pointing out Nursultan Nazarbayev and Heydar Aliyev’s friendship had largely contributed to the strengthening of not only the relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, but also the formation of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov expressed gratitude to the leadership and team of the Heydar Aliyev Center for the event on the occasion of the signing of the cooperation memorandum.
On his part, Heydar Aliyev Center Director Anar Alakbarov stressed the importance of close cooperation.
“The Heydar Aliyev Center will present Kazakhstan to the Azerbaijanian public in a broad way. We need to do our uttermost for our organizations to actively promote the ideas of First Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and nationwide leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. The memorandum enables our employees to foster relations. I am convinced that the number of projects will rise and decent results will be achieved”, Anar Alakbarov told.
The Kazakh delegation’s visit took place with the help of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Azerbaijan.

The Library of the First President of Kazakhstan – Yelbasy is designed as First Kazakh President – Leader of the Nation Nursultan Nazarbayev’s information and ideology complex serving as a library, archive, museum and an analytical, cultural and educational and research facility.
The Heydar Aliyev carries out activities in fundamental learning of the philosophy of nation-building and ideologies of former President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev as well as promotes development of Azerbaijanian history, language, culture, national and spiritual values.
