Nazarbayev presented with Honorary Senator status

First President of Kazakhstan – Yelbasy (Leader of the Nation) Nursultan Nazarbayev was presented with the Honorary Senator ID and badge, the press service of the First President of Kazakhstan – Yelbasy informed.

The awarding ceremony was held before the beginning of the Senate plenary session.

During his speech, the First President of Kazakhstan thanked all the deputies for their support and appreciation of his activities.

“We have been working with many of the deputies for the past 30 years. We have overcome many difficulties. I am sincerely grateful to you for the decision to assign me the status of the Honorary Senator”, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

Yelbasy made specific mentioned of the high-quality legislative work of the Parliament on the effective implementation of the planned reforms.

“Our country has become known throughout the world. The economy is developing, the living standards of citizens have improved. We have adopted several programs aimed at modernizing the State. And you are actively involved in their implementation. The success of the reforms depends on your work”, the First President of Kazakhstan stated.

Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized that the decision taken on the resignation of the President was made to strengthen stability in society and ensure the continuity of the strategic course of development.

“Our main achievement is stability and peace in the country. I was surprised by the reaction of the world community to my decision. We have shown everyone an example of how to solve the issues of transit of power”, Yelbasy said.

In conclusion, the First President of Kazakhstan noted the important role of the younger generation in the further development and prosperity of independent Kazakhstan.
