The Kazakh Head of State stressed that the visit of the President of the European Council would give an additional impetus to the enhancement of relations between Kazakhstan and the EU.

“Your visit is very important. I am certain our mutually beneficial cooperation will only enhance. Given the fact that both sides intend to achieve the tasks set, our relations’ future is bright”, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

On his part, Donald Tusk expressed gratitude for the invitation to visit Kazakhstan.

“I express my gratitude for your hospitability. We have the common experiences, the common history of interactions. Despite the large geographical distance, Kazakhstan is our key and stable partner both regionally and globally”, the President of the European Council said.

The sides discussed the prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the EU in various areas.
