Tokayev: cooperation with UN is a priority of Kazakhstan’s foreign policy
During the meeting, the Head of State noted the personal contribution of United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, to strengthening cooperation and partnership between Kazakhstan and UN.
“Cooperation with UN is a priority of our foreign policy. I would like to convey my good wishes to Secretary-General António Guterres, to thank him for the fruitful cooperation and support of our country's international initiatives”, the President stated.
The interlocutors discussed prospects for the implementation of regional projects, as well as the participation of Kazakhstani peacekeepers in the UN missions.
“We highly appreciate the active position of Kazakhstan in the issues of regional cooperation. For us, it is also important to assist your country in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. We are grateful to you, Mr. President, for opening a new UN building in Almaty”, Miroslav Jenča said.
