Principle of “Unity in Diversity” means that all the 130 ethnic groups form today’s independent Kazakhstan
The first Kazakh President noted that the state equally promotes ethnic languages and cultures’ development.
“The instruction is provided in the Uzbek, Tajik, Uighur, Ukrainian languages in 88 schools of our country, and 22 Kazakhstani ethnic groups’ languages are taught as a subject in 108 schools. The country publishes 35 newspapers in 15 languages, and TV programs in 11 languages are broadcast. 14 Russian theatres, as well as Uzbek, Uighur, German and Korea ones, run within the country. This can be found only in our country. That is the principle of “Unity in Diversity” means that all the 130 ethnic groups form today’s independent Kazakhstan, who call themselves as Kazakhstanis. That’s what our respond to western cultural instructors looks like. I keep saying: this is our golden wealth, and we should treasure it. In this regard, the Tugan zher (Native land) is a clear demonstration of nationwide patriotism’s high responsibility, to make the persons, who got rich thanks to politics and business, draw attention to the village, district they are from,” the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan’s head said.
