Kazakhstan and Hungary share same values – Tokayev
The official welcome ceremony was followed by talks on a wide range of issues featuring the bilateral cooperation, regional and international agenda.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev marked the trusting Kazakh-Hungarian strategic partnership and told the Hungarian Prime Minister was the first European leader he received in Kazakhstan.
“You know that Kazakhstan and Hungary share the same values and historic roots. As Foreign Minister, from the first days I observed our bilateral relations’ formation. And I am pleased that Hungary was the first Central European country, where our embassy was opened,” said Kazakh President.
The Kazakh head of state stressed that Kazakhstan would continue pursuing the strategic course of the first Kazakh President, pointing to our country’s willingness to enhance multilateral cooperation with Hungary.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also congratulated Viktor Orbán on the 15th anniversary of Hungary’s presidency of the European Union and the 20th anniversary of joining NATO. The Kazakh President believes that Budapest’s enhanced authority on the international arena and its increased economy demonstrate the current Government’s efficient policy.
The parties expressed confidence that constructive dialogue and productive interaction will be continued in the long run for the two peoples’ sake.
