Nursultan Nazarbayev met Chinese Ambassador

The first Kazakh President stressed the high level of the relations established between the two states and pointed to the prospects for their further development, the press service of the first Kazakh President – Leader of the Nation has informed.

“I am glad to meet you. I with great pleasure received an invitation of Chairman Xi Jinping to take part in the Forum “One Belt, One Road” that will discuss the results of and prospects for joint work. Talks with the Chinese Chairman, with whom we’ve worked in a spirit of understanding, are also expected,” said Nursultan Nazarbayev. 

The first Kazakh President underlined the efficiency of the joint projects’ implementation in transport and logistics.

“Huge work has been done to develop the infrastructure. We greatly appreciate the productive cooperation with China and will continue these mutually beneficial relations,” said the Leader of the Nation.

Additionally, Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated the Chinese people on the 70th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, wishing success and prosperity.

In turn, Ambassador Zhang Xiao conveyed the best wishes on behalf of Chinese Chairman Xi Jinping.

“The second Forum “One Belt, One Road” is a high-profile inetrantional event, bringing together 37 heads of state and government. You, Nursultan Abishevich, is the most important and honored guest at the event,” said the Chinese Ambassador.

Zhang Xiao underlined the fruitfulness in paring the initiatives “One Belt, One Road” and the new economic policy “Nurly Zhol”.

“As of today, 9 out of 55 joint projects have been completed. During this year, other 8 will have been completed. The fruitiness of our cooperation is largely your merit,” said the Chinese Ambassador.
