President gave several instructions to Sultanov on further development of the capital
The Head of State was informed about the major socio-economic indicators of the capital's development in 2018.
The President was reported about the comprehensive 2019-2023 urban development plan including commissioning of all required engineering-transport infrastructure.
Besides, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev heard a report about the measures of social support of persons entitled to benefits as well as provision of housing to low-income and large families.
Upon completion of the meeting, the Head of State gave a number of instructions to the Mayor regarding further development of the city.
Askar Shakirov reported to the President of Kazakhstan on the activities of the Commissioner for Human Rights, as well as information on the observance of human rights in the country.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pointed to the need for collaboration with concerned government agencies to protect the basic rights and interests of vulnerable social groups, including poor families and mothers of many children, and to prevent any prison abuse.
In conclusion, the President of Kazakhstan gave a number of specific instructions and underlined that human rights issues will be within his focus area of work.
At the same time, Saparkhan Omarov reported to the Head of State on the results of the activities and plans of the Ministry for the near future.
The President of Kazakhstan paid attention to the importance of high-quality implementation of the tasks assigned to the Ministry to increase labor productivity in the agro-industrial complex and export processed products.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pointed to the need to increase the rate of renewal of equipment from 2 to 6% and the area of irrigated agriculture from 1.4 to 2 million hectares by 2022, as well as the use of elements of precision farming, diversification of sown areas, improvement of seed quality, use of fertilizers and plant protection products.
In addition, the Head of State instructed to continue work on the introduction of advanced technologies of breeding of cattle, creating family livestock farms and expanding the area of pastures used.
