Kazakhstan established diplomatic relations with Tanzania
The document will be the basis for the development of bilateral relations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan informed.

During the signing ceremony, the permanent representatives of Kazakhstan and Tanzania expressed interest in establishing cooperation in various sectors of the economy and beginning a substantive discussion of the bilateral partnership prospects. Modast Jonathan Mero spoke about the current socio-economic development of the country and ongoing major infrastructure projects.
Within the multilateral cooperation framework, the interlocutors noted the similarity of positions on many issues on the UN agenda, including in the field of combating terrorism, the reform of the Organization and the implementation of sustainable development goals. It was agreed to increase cooperation in these and other areas, and provide mutual support at the sites of international structures.
Tanzania is the largest country in East Africa with a population of about 55 million people. According to official data, the country's GDP growth in 2017 was 7.1%. More than a quarter of GDP falls on agriculture, which gives 85% of exports.
In recent years, with the assistance of international financial institutions, Tanzania has been actively developing infrastructure projects, extraction of gold, iron, diamonds, tanzanite.
