Country’s independence should be the main life guideline for young people - Nazarbayev
Speaking before the participants of the charity ball, Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that the outgoing year was fruitful for the whole country.
“The authority of our country in the world strengthened significantly. The volume of investments in Kazakhstan increased by 17.5%. Overall, the economy grew by more than 4%. This is the result of our joint work with you. Therefore, I am grateful to everyone”, the President of Kazakhstan said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also noted that in the coming year many events will take place that will contribute to the further development of the country.
“From 2019, the minimum wage will rise 1.5 times. This will affect 1.3 million people. The salary level of teachers who confirmed their qualifications will be increased from 30 to 50%. Work will be carried out to improve the activities of law enforcement agencies. Measures will be taken to promote tourism”, the Head of State said.
The President of Kazakhstan indicated that next year special attention will be paid to the development of the potential of the younger generation.
“The special state program for youth will be focused on the implementation of four tasks. This includes education, housing, health, and patriotic education. Everything that we do, we do for the future. Country’s independence should be the main life guideline for young people”, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
In conclusion, the Head of State once again congratulated those present on the upcoming New Year and wished all Kazakhstanis happiness, health and family well-being.
All proceeds from the New Year's Eve Ball will be directed to charity.
