Presidents of Kazakhstan and Serbia discussed bilateral relation issues
After the official welcoming ceremony, the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral relations and international agenda.
The President of Kazakhstan stressed the friendly nature of relations between the two countries and noted the need for their further development.
“Mr. President, you, personally visited the international exhibition EXPO-2017 and supported us. And today you have arrived on an official visit to Kazakhstan to participate in the VI Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. All this shows your exceptionally friendly attitude towards our country. We value this very much”, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
The Head of State dwelt on the prospects for the promotion of bilateral economic relations.
“As part of the agreements reached during my visit to Serbia, we need to expand cooperation in the sectors of logistics, transport and communications, the defense industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and construction. Your current visit will allow us to raise our relationship to a new level”, the President of Kazakhstan concluded.
During the meeting, the Head of State awarded Alexander Vučić with the Dostyk Order, I degree, for his contribution to the strengthening of peace, friendship and cooperation between Kazakhstan and Serbia.
In turn, A. Vučić thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev for the warm welcome and full support of Serbia at the international level, and also awarded the President of Kazakhstan with the highest state award “Order of the Republic of Serbia” I degree.
