President of Kazakhstan instructed to increase wages by half
“Nowadays global, local problems in the world are connected. Under these conditions, development of the main wealth of our country – a man- becomes the answer to the challenges. The Government, each leader of a state body, state-owned companies need to change their approach to work. The growth of the welfare of Kazakhstanis should be the main priority. GDP per capita, inflation, all macroeconomic indicators, these are not figures, we reach these figures to improve the lives of Kazakhstanis. I ask all Governors and Ministers to always remember and keep in mind. That is why we will now evaluate the parameters of personal effectiveness in accordance with the positions held by all managers at all levels”, the President of Kazakhstan said.
The Head of State noted that the well-being of Kazakhstanis depends primarily on the steady growth of income and life quality of Kazakhstanis.
“Incomes grow when a person is hardworking. I always talk about it. He is well trained in his profession, he has to receive decent wages or to open, develop his own business. Today it is not a question to provide a workplace for a person, but a question of qualification No qualifications - no professions in different branches of our economy. Only in this way, with the joint efforts of the state and our people, we will be able to create a society of universal labor. Firstly, I instruct the Government to raise the minimum wage by one and a half times from January 1, 2019. From 28 to 42 thousand tenge. It will be a real help for every Kazakhstanis”, Nazarbayev instructed.
We remind that President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, is speaking with the annual Address to the People of Kazakhstan “Growth in prosperity of Kazakhstanis: rise of income and life quality” at the Akorda residence. The Address is devoted to the topical issues of socio-economic development of the country and the tasks for improving the welfare of Kazakhstanis.
