Council of CIS Heads of State: Kazakh President raised possibility of joint projects
During the meeting, the Head of State dwelled on the results of work to strengthen and develop relations within the CIS. Thus, Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the effectiveness of the measures taken to reform the organization and update the conceptual documents of the Commonwealth.
The President of Kazakhstan pointed to a number of promising areas that would contribute to further deepening of interstate relations. In particular, the Head of State stressed the necessity to strengthen the economic foundations of the CIS and to take measures aimed at removing trade barriers between the countries.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also focused on expanding trade and economic relations and using the transit and transport potential of all CIS member countries.
In addition, the President of Kazakhstan paid attention to the implementation of joint projects in the scientific and space industry, in digitalization and tourism.
The Head of State also spoke about the peculiarities of the Astana International Financial Center created in Kazakhstan and invited all the CIS participating countries to take an active part in the work of the IFC.
