Stressing the high social importance of creating comfortable conditions for the residents of the capital, the Head of State pointed to the need for an integrated approach to urban development.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also noted the importance of providing citizens with accessible social facilities, including educational and medical institutions.
In addition, the President of Kazakhstan dwelled on the issues of landscaping the capital, the construction of parking spaces and transport interchanges, which will allow to optimize automobile traffic in the city.
Mayor of Astana B. Sultanov presented to the Head of State information on the plans for the construction of social, commercial, administrative and residential facilities in the capital, and also reported on the prospects of the city's infrastructure development. According to the leadership of the city, 1.7 million square meters of housing have been commissioned since the beginning of this year in the capital, by the end of 2018 it is planned to build another 2.3 million square meters.
