Results of 7 months’ work of Samruk-Kazyna presented to President
During the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan was provided with information about the results of activities of "Samruk-Kazyna" JSC for 7 months of the current year and plans for the forthcoming period.
"The main indicators for the first half of the year are positive. In order to implement the Fund's strategy approved by you, some work has been done, and a number of results have been achieved. In particular, the holding's transformation continues, 18 assets worth 42 billion tenge were sold within the framework of privatization. By the end of this year, three of our companies are entering the IPO. These are "Kazakhtelecom", "Air Astana" and "Kazatomprom", Akhmetzhan Yessimov said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed the importance of transferring the Fund's purchases to a competitive environment and noted that the work carried out will positively affect the support of small and medium-sized businesses.
In conclusion, the Head of State gave a number of instructions on increasing the efficiency of the activities of "Samruk-Kazyna" JSC.
