Head of State awarded President of Tatarstan with "Dostyk" Order
The sides discussed current issues and further plans for the development of relations.

The Head of State noted the high rates of socio-economic growth of Tatarstan and pointed to the promising directions of deepening bilateral ties.
The President of Kazakhstan stressed that Kazakhstan and Tatarstan formed the closest and most trustworthy relations.
Nursultan Nazarbayev paid attention to the importance of building up trade, economic and investment cooperation.
"Your IT industry is developing well. Our youth need to learn this experience. Interregional cooperation is also being established. The volume of mutual trade increased to 700 million dollars, and now we need to reach 1 billion dollars", the Head of State stated.
The President of Kazakhstan pointed to the possibility of creating joint ventures in the field of machine building, defense and space industry.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the experience of Tatarstan in the sphere of oil products processing.
"All countries will switch to the use of alternative energy sources. At the same time, in the next 50 years, oil and gas will also be in demand. Taking this time, we must create a manufacturing industry", the Head of State stressed.
In addition, the President of Kazakhstan focused on issues of cooperation in the field of agriculture.
"It is necessary to develop agricultural science. We can also supply meat to Russia. We brought the best breeds of cattle to produce high-quality beef", Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
The Head of State also dwelled on the results of the development of the transit-transport potential of Kazakhstan and the implementation of infrastructure programs.
Along with this, the President of Kazakhstan paid attention to cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including the establishment of ties in education and medicine spheres.
"I am glad that Kazan is developing successfully. In the context of our common relations with Russia, Tatarstan is one of the first places. We will develop further cooperation for the benefit of two peoples", Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
Having noted the contribution of R. Minnikhanov to the strengthening of friendship, mutual understanding and trust between the nations, the Head of State awarded the President of Tatarstan with the "Dostyk" Order of the first degree.

In turn, Rustam Minnikhanov stressed the importance of effective bilateral cooperation in various sectors of the economy.
"Today Kazakhstan is our most important partner. An important experience is the implementation of successful joint projects", the President of Tatarstan said.
R. Minnikhanov also noted the pace of development of the education system in Kazakhstan and expressed his readiness to intensify the process of student exchange.
The President of Tatarstan also shared his impressions of the results of country's participation in the international exhibition "EXPO-2017" in Astana.
"The exhibition "EXPO-2017" was held at the highest level. You have created a powerful and modern platform. I believe that the opening of the AIFC on this complex will be a bright event, and in the future we want to work with our colleagues from Kazakhstan within the framework of the AIFC", R. Minnikhanov said.
Also, during a working visit to Tatarstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev got acquainted with the plans for the rebirth of Bolgar city and "Island City of Sviyazhsk", on the territory of which the Assumption Cathedral is located - the main temple of the Assumption Bogoroditsky Monastery.

Works on the preservation of the Assumption Cathedral have been carried out since 1954. In the 1970s-1980s, the wall fresco painting of the cathedral was fully studied.
The present stage of the preservation and revival of the Bulgarian heritage complex began in the 1990s, when this work was given the character of an important state program of Tatarstan.
