President of Kazakhstan met with head of Chinese Parliament Li Zhanshu
Having greeted the President of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Standing Committee Li Zhanshu noted the fruitful nature of the talks held within the framework of the state visit and pointed out that the documents signed by them indicated specific plans for the development of bilateral relations at the present stage.

"For our people, you are a great friend, and for me personally you are one of the most respected statesmen. Under your leadership, the market economy has been formed in Kazakhstan, the life of the population improves and stability in society is noted. The authority of your country in the world and the region is constantly growing. Your state has paved its way to the light, as you say - "Nurly Zhol". You are a native of the people, you know its aspirations and for many years you are leading Kazakhstan along the path of successful development. You are a heroic person for the Chinese people and an example for us - leaders. As your friend and your neighbor, China sincerely rejoices at the successes of Kazakhstan", the Chairman of the National People's Congress said.
The Head of State thanked Li Zhanshu for the kind words addressed to him and his country.
"I want to congratulate you on your election to this high post of the Chairman of the National People's Congress and wish you success", the President of Kazakhstan said.
In the context of the discussion of the issues of interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries, Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the decision taken at the 19th Congress of the National People's Congress aimed at maintaining stability in the country and fulfilling the tasks set is of historic importance for China.
In addition, the Head of State pointed out that the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, along the way of which China has been going for 40 years, is marked by world-class achievements.
"Today China has become one of the largest and leading economies in the world. Innovations are rapidly introduced, investments in science are increasing. Your country has entered an entirely new way of its development", the President of Kazakhstan concluded.
Also during the state visit, the President of Kazakhstan laid flowers to the People's Heroes Monument in Tiananmen Square and honored the memory of the sons of the Chinese people who gave their lives during the national liberation struggle of the 19th and 20th centuries.


The monument is dedicated to events reflecting the history of China's revolutionary movement in the period from the First Opium War of 1840 to the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949.
