EBRD head: Foreign Investors Council is important for dialogue between government and business
The meeting has been held before the 31st plenary session of the Foreign Investors Council. During the talks, the sides discussed cooperation issues and prospects for implementing joint projects.
The Head of State thanked Suma Chakrabarti for participating in the Foreign Investors Council, noting the traditional nature of such bilateral meetings.
The President of Kazakhstan stressed that at present the country is implementing joint infrastructure projects.
"During these years more than 7 billion dollars was invested in Kazakhstan. Now you have adopted the country program of cooperation with Kazakhstan. Large infrastructure programs are being implemented. The development of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as support for the agricultural complex, remain topical", Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
In turn, S. Chakrabarti noted the effectiveness and importance of the Council of Foreign Investors' site in stimulating investment activity in Kazakhstan and developing a constructive dialogue between the state and business.
