KADEX-2018: Achievements in defense sphere presented by 28 countries of the world

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev took part in the opening ceremony of the V international exhibition of weapons and military hardware "KADEX-2018", the press service of Akorda informed.

Speaking to the participants of the ceremony, the President of Kazakhstan emphasized that the main feature of this exhibition is the holding of the international forum "Days of Space in Kazakhstan" within the framework of "KADEX-2018".

Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the "KADEX-2018" exhibition became an event of global importance in the field of armament and information security.

"The exhibition presents 318 enterprises from 28 countries. Visitors can get acquainted with the latest achievements in the defense-industrial complex and the space sphere. This time, a special emphasis has been placed on the development of the electronic system and communication and armament management system", the Head of State said.

The President of Kazakhstan pointed out that our country is pursuing a peace-loving policy aimed at strengthening good-neighborliness and cooperation.

"The development of the defense sector and the Armed Forces is one of the priorities of the state. An effective tool in their implementation is the international exhibition "KADEX" - the only one of its kind in Central Asia", Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

The Head of State dwelled on the effectiveness of holding of the international exhibition in the development of country's military-industrial complex.

"This year, official delegations from 40 countries of the world, as well as 108 heads of foreign companies, have arrived to participate in the exhibition. Signed business agreements and contracts will promote the development of international cooperation and partnership between domestic and foreign enterprises of the defense industry complex. It will also help attract investments, increase export potential and competitiveness of the Kazakh economy as a whole", the President of Kazakhstan stated.

After the opening ceremony, the Head of State visited the exhibition pavilions of the "Kazakhstan Engineering" National Company, pavilions of Russia and China.
