President of Kazakhstan met with Director of "Hotel Properties Limited"
During the conversation, the sides discussed cooperation issues in the field of tourism and implementation of joint investment projects, Akorda’s press-service reported.
The Head of State noted that today Kazakhstan and Singapore have established friendly and partnership relations at a high level.
"We have long and good relationships with Singapore. I have long been friends with Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, and with current Prime Minister of the country we also support close cooperation. At all international venues we always meet and talk about how to further strengthen our relations", the President of Kazakhstan said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed Kazakhstan's interest in tourism development and told about the measures taken to increase the tourist potential of Astana.
"You are a man known in the hotel business, working in many countries of the world. Astana is the new capital, and we intend to make it a tourist city. For this, we are studying the way that Singapore has taken in this direction", the Head of State said.
In his turn, Ong Beng Seng spoke about his first experience in Kazakhstan.
The Singapore businessman noted the dynamic growth rates and high results of Kazakhstan's development under the leadership of Nursultan Nazarbayev.
