South Korea intends to deepen cooperation with Kazakhstan
During the conversation, the sides discussed topical issues of cooperation and prospects for the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
Having greeted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Korea, the Head of State emphasized the trustworthiness of bilateral relations.
"Astana and Seoul have very confidential and friendly relations. Economic cooperation is actively growing. Many issues of economic and humanitarian cooperation are resolved. We support your active work, which you are carrying out in Central Asia", the President of Kazakhstan said.
In her turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Korea expressed her gratitude for the meeting and shared her impressions of the visit to the capital of Kazakhstan.
"For me, this is the first visit to Kazakhstan and Astana. It is significant that my visit takes place in the year of celebrating the 20th anniversary of your capital. I am very impressed by how far Astana has gone through this period", Kang Kyung-wha said.
During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed to President Nursultan Nazarbayev the greetings of President of Korea, Mr. Moon Jae-in.
"President Moon Jae-in, based on the foundation that was formed over 25 years between our countries, intends to continue to develop and deepen the existing cooperation", Kang Kyung-wha said.
Recall that relations between Kazakhstan and South Korea are developing in a friendly manner. For example, the volume of commodity circulation between Kazakhstan and South Korea in January-November 2017 amounted to about 1.465 billion US dollars, which exceeded the indicator of the same period in 2016 by more than two times.
