"Reforms in Kazakhstan: An analytical View" book presented in Almaty

The author of the book "Reforms in Kazakhstan: An analytical View" is a well-known statesman and public figure of Kazakhstan, prominent organizer of higher education and science, scientist-economist Sagadiyev Kenzhegali Abenovich.

The presentation was also attended by representatives of state bodies, the scientific and creative community, business circles, rectors of universities, as well as the teaching staff and the student community of the country.

In her welcoming speech, the State Secretary noted that one of the important priorities of Nursultan Nazarbayev's strategic course is the development of domestic science. The Head of State throughout the whole era of independence comprehensively supports academic and applied research in the country, showing constant concern for science and scientists.

During the years of independence, a new model of managing scientific activity, modern mechanisms for financing science have been introduced. For example, in 2016, 23 thousand scientists and 383 scientific organizations engaged in scientific research projects, and in general expenses for this sphere amounted to 38 billion tenge.

Gulshara Abdykalikova noted that the presented monograph is an analytical review of the most important issues of Kazakhstan's economic development for the years of independence, and also reflects the author's opinion on various aspects of the development of our society. It is devoted to a deep understanding of the Kazakh Way put forward by the Head of State, which has become an anthology of the whole world.

The book has received a good and well deserved press not only in our country but also abroad. Thus, Professor of Cambridge University Siddharth Saxena stressed that this work became a guide for reform in the post-Soviet society. And, according to professor of Moscow State University, Aleksandr Buzgalin, this publication is a kind of a set of rules for overcoming the global challenges that all states faced in the first years of their independence.

At the end of the event, State Secretary G. Abdykalikova wished academician Sagadiyev good health, prosperity, new creative successes.
