Current version of the Kazakh alphabet will be more effective - Dauren Abayev
“Specialists, who worked in this direction, had questions whether the apostrophe is a special sign or a separator. It makes searching, algorithms, including some financial ones difficult. The Head of State heard opinions of some experts, including in the IT sphere. Are you aware of that quite unprecedented involvement of different experts into the transition issue is being carried out? Opinions were heard. And the current version will be productive”, the Minister said.
According to Dauren Abayev, the group of the Ministry of Information and Communications headed the technical introduction of the alphabet.
“Whether it is a final or not – we all know that it is possible that there is no an ideal alphabet, it is not a secret. Life has its own conditions, necessary solutions. That is why I think that the work in this direction will be continued in any degree. Maybe with more practical implementation. But I think that this variant is more relevant at this stage and took into account not only opinions of linguists, but also IT experts”, the Minister said.
According to Abayev, it proves that the Head of State when taking important strategic solutions takes into account the public opinion.
He also said that at the moment domains of sites remain.
"There is no necessity to massively change kz to qz or qaz. This issue is not on the agenda right now. There is no hurry, no one will hurry anyone, everything will be done taking into account common sense and necessity", Dauren Abayev stressed.
According to the Minister, those who have translated the signs to the Latin alphabet should correct them, since the current version of the alphabet is final.
