N.Nigmatulin received Ambassador of France

Chairman of the Mazhilis Nurlan Nigmatulin received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Kazakhstan Philippe Martine, the press service of the Mazhilis reported.

The interlocutors discussed issues on expanding partnership in all spheres of bilateral interaction, including between parliamentarians.

Having noted the 10th anniversary of the Strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and France, N. Nigmatulin emphasized the confidential political dialogue and all-round cooperation, built over the years between two countries.

The speaker of the Mazhilis expressed hope for use of the potential of the Agreement on Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union in the interests of the countries, the bill on ratification of which has already been approved in both chambers of the French Parliament.

Philippe Martine noted Kazakhstan is an important partner of France, not only in politics but also in the economy. Among the promising areas for further cooperation the interlocutors called the agrarian sector, education, tourism, interregional cooperation.

Nurlan Nigmatulin and Philippe Martine stated the importance of further intensifying the inter-parliamentary dialogue.

"In the light of the implementation of the main tasks of the President's Address the experience of France in legislative implementation of the innovative technologies, digitalization is of practical interest for Kazakhstani parliamentarians", N. Nigmatulin stated.
