N.Nazarbayev met with Polish President

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev met with President of Poland Andrzej Duda in New-York, the Akorda press-service informs.

During the conversation, the Head of State congratulated the President of Poland on the beginning of the non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council.

"Today's meeting is a good opportunity for us to discuss our relations. Congratulations on the beginning of Poland's activities in the UN Security Council in 2018-2019", said the President of Kazakhstan.

Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the similarity of the positions of Kazakhstan and Poland in the work of the UN Security Council.

"I am glad that our thoughts and directions of work in the UN Security Council coincide. I well remember my visit to Warsaw and your visit to Astana last year. Such meetings bring us and our countries closer", said the Head of State.

In turn, A. Duda expressed gratitude for the meeting and the opportunity to discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation.
