Comprehensive plan of privatization to be completed by August, 2018 - MNE RK
It should be noted that the Head of State in the Address "New Possibilities of Development in the Conditions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution" instructed to accelerate the implementation of the privatization plan, expanding it by reducing the number of subordinate organizations of state bodies. The second task that should be done is, if possible, to consolidate subordinate organizations of state bodies to reduce administrative expenses.
"To this end, we are at the stage of finalizing the creation of a working group, which will include representatives of all state bodies, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, the quasi-public sector. We will co-chair the working group (IA - vice-minister of finance) with Berik Sholpanulovich. Until August 2018, we will complete this task. That is, we will report the Comprehensive Plan of Privatization to the Government and, I think, the comprehensive plan will be supplemented by a number of other enterprises", said the Vice-Minister of National Economy.
Also, Serik Zhumangarin told about the instructions of the Head of State concerning the funds from privatization, which will be sent to the National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to the Vice-Minister, the funds will be invested according to the rules of the National Fund management.
"To date, 7.4 billion tenge was received from privatization by the National Fund. This is mainly from the sale of objects of republican ownership. From the sale of objects of quasi-public property, that is, the national company has not yet received any proceeds, since at the development stage there are rules for transferring funds and order from the sale of quasi-public sector facilities. In the near future, they will be accepted by the Government. Income to the National Fund will go from objects that are owned by the quasi-public sector", explained S. Zumangarin.
