Safe biofuel produced in Akmola rgn
Burabay district in Akmola region opened a plant for the production of environmentally friendly biofuels - wood pellets. The local enterprise "Orman Aymagy" LLP is engaged in the production of pellets from forest management wastes, the Regional Communication Service of the Internal Policy Department reported.
"Orman Aymagy" LLP is the first enterprise in Kazakhstan that produces environmentally friendly biofuels. The first plant was commissioned in Petropavlovsk. In Burabay district, the plant was opened in November 2017. And it has already produced 500 tons of wood pellets. The annual capacity of the enterprise is 3000 tons of fuel.
Head of the company Andrey Petrochenko said that the pellets have long been used as fuel in European countries, the USA, Japan, Russia and it appeared about 60 years ago.
"Wood pellets are a high-calorie fuel. Its efficiency is 95%, while coal, for example, 50%, gas - 30%. Two tons of pellets by heat transfer are similar to coal, they can replace a ton of expensive diesel or liquefied gas", A. Petrochenko said.
The cost of one ton of biofuel is 35 thousand tenge. And according to A. Petrochenko, demand grows every day. In addition, the company sells environmentally friendly fuel not only in the country but also exports to China.
