Agreements with USA will enable Kazakhstan to implement "digital program" - IWEP
Firstly, a joint political statement was adopted on the new phase of an enhanced strategic partnership. This means that productive cooperation between our countries, which is 26 years old this year, will deepen.
"For Astana, Washington is one of the key partners in foreign policy and the most important investor in the economy. In turn, as noted by Donald Trump, America considers a strong, sovereign and independent Kazakhstan as a valuable friend and strategic partner of the United States in Central Asia", noted in the IWEP.
Experts also note the economic component. As the Head of State said during the briefing on the results of negotiations, it is planned to conclude more than 20 contracts worth more than 7.5 billion dollars. It is not a secret that Astana's interest lies in developing contacts with the United States for the transfer of high technologies and innovative productions. In this regard, it is safe to say that the new agreements will allow Kazakhstan to implement its "digital" agenda in the economy.
Secondly, D. Trump and N. Nazarbayev reaffirmed the intention of the United States and Kazakhstan to further work together on the issue of strengthening international and regional security.
"It is a question of closer coordination of the efforts of Kazakhstan and the United States on Afghanistan. In addition, Kazakhstan expressed its support for US efforts in the field of anti-terrorist struggle. The leaders of the states also expressed the importance of working together to resolve the North Korean nuclear problem", commented in the Institute.
Thirdly, Kazakhstan and the United States have agreed to strengthen cooperation within the framework of the C5 + 1 regional dialogue platform. In this regard, it is possible to expect new initiatives in the work of this site.
