Kazakhstan intends to strengthen cooperation with Czech Republic

Speaker of Mazhilis Nurlan Nigmatulin reveived Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Kazakhstan Elishka Zhigova, the Lower Chamber of Parliament informed.

The sides discussed a wide range of issues of further Kazakhstani-Czech cooperation, including between parliamentarians.

N. Nigmatulin focused the attention of the diplomat on the main tasks set by the President of Kazakhstan in the January Address.

"Our country is interested in strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of technology and innovation. In the Czech Republic, there is a good base and experience in legislative support for the development of these areas", he said.

The interlocutors stated that during the years of diplomatic relations, the 25th anniversary of the establishment of which is celebrated this year, a trustworthy political dialogue and effective partnership in all spheres has been established.

Stressing that the Czech Republic is one of the most important strategic partners of Kazakhstan in the Central and Eastern Europe region, N. Nigmatulin noted that our country intends to strengthen cooperation with the Czech Republic not only on a bilateral basis but also on the international scene through mutual consultations, mutual support of initiatives and positions.
