Kazakhstan and Tajikistan to provide sites for construction of diplomatic missions
17 January, 2018 10:59
The Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan approved the work of the draft law on ratification of the agreement between the Governments of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan on mutual provision of land for the construction of diplomatic missions. This was reported by Maulen Ashimbayev, the Chairman of the Committee for International Affairs, Defense and Security, during the first plenary meeting of the Mazhilis, held this year.
"In accordance with the agreement, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan provide each other with the 1-hectare land for the construction of diplomatic representations for 49 years with a symbolic rent. This agreement determines the legal basis for this issue. The Committee is ready to take this bill into practice and prepare an opinion on it", Maulen Ashimbayev said.
We remind that Nurlan Nigmatulin today has outlined the main directions of the work of the Mazhilis.
