N.Nigmatulin outlined main directions of Mazhilis's activity

As the Mazilis speaker noted, the parliamentaries were among the firsts who took an active part in discussing and explainig of the provisions of the Address of the Head of State. The Mazhilis Deputies visited about 400 settlements, where almost one and a half thousand meetings were held.

"We started the new year in the regions, meeting with voters. In total, the Mazhilis deputies visited about 400 settlements, where they held over 1500 meetings. These meetings with the population allowed us to convey the essence of the adopted laws, as well as to identify the problems that concern our voters and which should become the subject of further legislative work of our Parliament. Just during the stay of deputies in the regions, President Nursultan Nazarbayev addressed the people of Kazakhstan. And it was the parliamentarians who were the first to take the most active part in discussing and explaining to the population the main provisions of the Address of the Head of State", says the speaker of the Mazhilis.

Nurlan Nigmatulin noted that the Address of the Head of State includes specific instructions on improving legislation in the sphere of venture financing and regulation of natural monopolies, the environmental code, the Health Code.

"We also should to adopt new laws on the bankruptcy of individuals, on the electronic labor exchange, on further improving the business climate. Thus, until the end of the current session, we should to adopt many important laws that are necessary for the practical implementation of all provisions of the current Address of the Head of State. We also have to work on such important draft laws as on the activities of non-profit organizations, on insurance and insurance activities, on regulation of the agro-industrial complex and a number of other draft laws", says Nurlan Nigmatulin.

In conclusion, the chairman of the Chamber added that in this way, the main direction in the activities of the Mazhilis will continue to be legislative support for the strategic course of the Head of State.

Until the end of the current session, 12 out of 16 ministers of the Government will deliver speeches to the deputies of the Mazhilis within the "government hour" with information on domestic and foreign policy issues and on the economic and social life of the country.

Parliamentary hearings will be held on such an important topic as "Problems and prospects for the development of the sphere of employment".
