Number of employed citizens from EAEU countries in Astana increased by 2 times
Sustainable socio-economic development of Kazakhstan attracts a large flow of foreign citizens to Astana to carry out labor activity, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan informed.
In 2017, almost 10 thousand (9,938) citizens from Russia, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan were employed by the EAEU Agreement in Astana, which was almost 2 times more than in 2016 (5203). Almost 43 thousand labor immigrants received permits (patents) for labor activity from individuals, which was 41% more than in 2016.
"The number of foreigners wishing to obtain patents is especially increasing in the spring-summer period, when the migration service officials make up to 500 permits per day", Murat Kabdenov, the chairman of the Migration Service Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, said.
By the way, within the framework of the state policy aimed at optimizing the state services of the migration service in the city of Astana, for the first time in the country a pilot project "Migration PSC - Migration Services Center" was launched.
