15 January, 2018 15:47
71.3% of Kazakhstanis have already familiarized with the new Address of the President of Kazakhstan. This was said by Yuliya Kuchinskaya, a director of the Center for Political Analysis and Strategic Studies of the "Nur Otan" Party (CPASS), during a press conference on the results of measuring the social well-being of the population of Kazakhstan in 2017.

According to the Director of the CPASS, the relevance of this study is due to the key importance of the state of public consciousness for the success of the Third Modernization and realization of the President's Address to the People of Kazakhstan "New Development Opportunities in the Conditions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution".

"The quick round of questions of the CPASS shows that already 71.3% of citizens have heard about the new President's Address. Now the task is to reveal to people the fullness of the Address content. Help in this should provide an understanding of the social sentiment of citizens", Yuliya Kuchinskaya said.

She noted that in Kazakhstan there are favorable social prerequisites for implementing the political course of the President of Kazakhstan for carrying out the Third Modernization.

"The index of assessing the political situation in the country (72.5) perfectly illustrates the President's conclusion in the new Address that the civil peace, interethnic accord "continue to be our main value", Yuliya Kuchinskaya said.

Also, according to the results of the assessment, the speaker noted that the top three issues that are acute for the population are headed by material problems - rising prices for food and essential goods (67.9%), low incomes (30%) and high utility rates (26.5% %).

These problems for the population are the most sensitive.

She also noted that throughout the year 2017, the population of Kazakhstan was generally well.

In conclusion, she added that when assessing the need for change in the country, the following picture emerges. Opinions on the need for "full-scale changes" are held by 40.4% of respondents, almost the same number of Kazakhstanis (37.2%) believe that if changes are needed, then only minor. There are also those who believe (out of 8.9%) that there is no need to change anything, let everything remain as it is.
