President named priority strategic life lines of world and state - professor of KazNU
"The people of Kazakhstan heard about new possibilities of development in the conditions of the fourth industrial revolution. Our President is always ahead of time, he refers to the most important strategic lines of the life of the world and the country. We are keeping pace with the most up-to-date ideas and tasks that must be solved quickly, efficiently, competently and pragmatically in order to enter the top thirty of the most successful countries in the world", she noted.
In his opinion, it is not by chance, that the largest task of the Address in seventh. There Nursultan Abishevich talked about human capital, a new quality of education.
"This is the sacred figure of Kazakhs. Our President first of all thinks about people, about their past, present and future. It is very important for him that Kazakhstanis are always not only educated, but also well-brought, cultured. Always the Head of State considers education to be a key priority, and now speaks about the development of abilities to constantly adapt to changes and assimilation of new knowledge. The education system should cover citizens of all ages. And this task is not only of the Ministry of Education, but also other Ministries. One of the priority is the Ministry of Religion and Civil Society Affairs. It has been recently actively and successfully working with the non-governmental sector and the entire civil society, solving pressing issues of the day", said Laila Akhmetova.
She noted that the Ministry is at the forefront of many problems, primarily confessional, civil, moral, spiritual, sacred, memorable and historical. These issues are acute, difficult to solve, arising not only within the country, but also at the international level. They must be solved promptly, competently and most importantly, that everything should benefit the people of Kazakhstan, so that we show an example of the friendship of peoples, as the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan created by the President does and shows to the whole world examples of partnership and cooperation of many nationalities in our vast homeland.
The professor of the KazNU al-Farabi reminded that for more than 10 years, non-governmental organizations participate in tenders and receive state social orders. In 2017, state grants for civil society were first announced. Several hundred NGOs participated in the state grant competition and the best of them received funding. I happened to participate as a member of the jury in one of the nominations for awarding a state grant. Indeed, it is wonderful that the best of the best is awarded a grant for consistency in the topic, for what has been done not a little by the civil sector in Kazakhstan, and the State knows, remembers and reciprocates, thanks volunteers and the non-governmental sector for the development of civil initiatives.
"Working for more than forty years at the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, I can say about different activities of my native university in the light of the tasks set in the Address. We work a lot on the integrated program "Digital Kazakhstan". Our creative scientific group won the project for three years in the Ministry of Education and Science and successfully completed it in 2017 on the topic "Formation of media and information literacy in the youth environment in the context of ensuring national security and the implementation of the State Program "Information Kazakhstan 2020", said Professor.
According to her, brochures, programs, recommendations based on international standards and principles of UNESCO, issues of media literacy and media education in the country and in the world are published.
"Our university implements the program "Smart City" on the territory of the campus. Based on this concept, we do everything to be comfortable to live and study on the student campus. I am sure that if every university, every production, district, city, or region can step-by-step turn its subordinate territory into "Smart City", we will move forward much. With each new year we sum up and move forward, solving new tasks set forth in the Address of the Head of State and successfully implementing them, we are moving towards the task of becoming one of the best and most comfortable countries in the world", said Laila Akhmetova.
