Safety of social objects and residential houses to be ensured in Oskemen and Semey

15 January, 2018 09:21
The project "Safe smart city" within the implementation of the program "Digital East" will be launched in these cities.

Initiator is Governor of the region Danial Akhmetov announced that this project would be the first in the republic, which would ensure maximum safety of not only taffic, but also each of social objects, yards and porches, the info-center of East Kazakhstan informs.

The base of the project is the installment if intellectual systems of photo and video suveillance. The same smart-project was launched in Astana this year. The difference of the project in East Kazakhstan is that the intellectual system of video surveillance will cover each house, as well as objects of education and healthcare.

"Such a project does not exist in our country yet. There is the same project in Astana, which covered only streets of the capital. However, micro-districts and porches are not covered. We have the task to make a comprehensive program at once. Therefore, we will ensure a high level of sefety of our residents", said Governor of the region Danial Akhmetov at the meeting.

The Governor of East Kazakhstan region instructed the city planner of Ust-Kamenogorsk to integrate this project with the system of "smart" lighting. The latter involves the replacement of more than 17,000 light points on the streets of the regional center for energy-saving ones. In June last year an agreement was signed with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on this project. Thus, the old lamps will be used to illuminate the entrances. First of all, they will cover the problemy yards of the city, where high crime is observed. Integration will also reduce the cost of installing photo-video fixation.

In addition, the system for installing photo-video fixation will cover the second largest city of the region - the city of Semey. Where, also, for the purpose of high level of safety, residents will conduct a comprehensive program for the "smart" lighting system.

We note that "Digital East" is a social project aimed at improving the quality of life of the population. It covers 7 stages, including "Digital Education", "Electronic Ticketing", improvement of yards. To date, the regional leadership is actively negotiating with companies that are engaged in the installation of photo and video control.
