Schools of S.Kazakhstan switched to updated content of education
Last year, teachers of forms 2, 5 and 7 of all 1,029 secondary schools in South Kazakhstan region completely switched to teaching pupils using the updated content of education.
"For two years on a systematic basis, work was carried out to retrain teachers on updated content on the experience of the Autonomous Educational Organization "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools". For example, in 2016, 15,500 teachers upgraded their qualifications in the framework of the updated content of education, and in 2017 - 18,328 teachers", the specialists of the regional education department note.
In order to intensify the work in this direction, last year a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Governor's Office of South Kazakhstan region and the Autonomous Educational Organization "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools". Based on this, for the purpose of studying the experience of this organization, on the basis of two intellectual schools in the city of Shymkent specialists of methodical cabinets conducted seminars for methodologists.
At the same time, regional seminars were organized with participation of moderators of 100 leading schools and methodologists of district, city departments of education, as well as 124 teachers from regional specialized educational institutions. In addition, mobile teams were established in 15 districts, including 352 teachers.
Along with this, for the transition to the updated content of education in the 2017-2018 school year, the best teachers of the region every week on Wednesday and Friday conduct online lessons, and share their experiences.
Also, in the first half of last year for 755 teachers of physics, computer science, chemistry and biology English language courses were conducted. Work was carried out to increase the knowledge of the English language to the basic level of A1A2 and methodologists to the level of В1В2. As a result, teachers who have mastered the B2 level and teach in English will receive a 30 per cent salary premium.
