Assessment of knowledge of medical workers to be conducted in independent environment
The self-regulating organization "National Center for Independent Examination" on December 28, 2017 was accredited by the Joint Quality Commission of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan to assess the professional preparedness and verify the conformity of the qualifications of health professionals, the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.
In the framework of deregulation and transfer of functions to an independent environment, the Knowledge and Skills Assessment Center was abolished in the structure of the Republican Center for Health Development (RCHD) since January 2018.
"Since January 2018, a full-scale implementation of an integrated information system (IIS), developed within the framework of the World Bank project according to international requirements for a qualitative and transparent independent examination, has begun. IIS will provide quality theoretical and practical examinations for doctors and nurses, graduates of medical schools and colleges, residents, interns", the report said.
It is noted that registration, testing and calculation of results are carried out automatically without the possibility of human factor influence. For each applicant, a personal electronic office is created that allows you to choose the date and time of the exam, as well as apply for participation in the exam and track its progress. The test results are instantly sent to the permanent personal office of the applicant, and it can not be deleted or changed.
In connection with the transfer of the function of assessing the knowledge and skills of medical workers in an independent environment, from January applications from health professionals for the assessment of professional preparedness and compliance with the qualification category will be taken by a non-governmental non-profit organization - the National Center for Independent Examination through the site qazexam.kz.
Applicants who applied to the RCHD and paid the fee for the assessment service but who did not receive the service will be assessed on time when completing an additional application form provided by the National Center for Independent Examination on the day of the exam on site or online on qazexam. kz.
Measures taken will improve the quality and reliability of assessing the knowledge and skills of health workers for admission to practice, eliminate corruption risks in the assessment and aim at protecting public health from poorly trained professionals.
