More than 175k people were participants of "Orleu" project in 2017
Since 2014, the "Orleu" project has been launched in the pilot mode. In 2017, its participants were more than 175 thousand people, while more than 92% of the able-bodied participants of the project or more than 34 thousand people are involved in active employment measures.
"The project has made it possible to attract able-bodied citizens to active employment measures and ensure a smooth transition to the targeted social assistance of a new format", the Ministry noted.
The total number of recipients of the targeted social assistance of a new format in the present year according to the preliminary data comrised about 350 thousand families.
We note from January 1, 2018, in Kazakhstan the targeted socail assistance of a new format was introduced. Such kind of an assistance will be provided to the families with the average income below 50% of the amount of the living substance, under the condition of the obligatory participation of the able-bodies family members in active measures to facilitate the employment.
The main change can be seen in the complex provision of the targeted social assistance to low-income citizens or families. The three socaial payments that existed before, such as the targeted socail assistance, the allowance for children before 18 years and the special state allowance for large families were selected into a single allowance, the amount of which exceeds the sum of these three payments.
